The Rotaract Club of Colombo is the first and oldest Rotaract Club in Sri Lanka, and the third in South Asia. Established on 9th September 1969, we are a registered non-profit social service organisation under Rotary International and fall under the guardianship of the Rotary Club of Colombo (founded in 1929). The Club aims to develop effective leaders and promote responsible citizenship to maintain international understanding and peace. We continue our proud legacy as a group of young professionals committed to personal, professional and community development. Meetings are usually held once a month on Tuesdays.
We improve the quality of life among vulnerable and marginalised groups in our community by addressing critical issues such as poverty, education, and hunger.
We focus on strengthening fellowship among members by conducting networking and socialising activities to establish a club identity.
RCC is recognized for the success of their signature projects, which have grown over the decades to become synonymous with their name.
This Community Service project is a race to complete eight to ten projects in two days out of Colombo, where members spend time with vulnerable communities, make donations, paint buildings, plant trees, and much more!
This seasonal staple is a visit to a Children’s or Elders’ home to spend this special day with them and spread the Christmas cheer with songs, food and festivities.
